Has Anyone Used The Makeup Product Bare Escentuals?

I saw it on television and in the makeup store Sephora and was wondering if it is really good. I am thinking of trying it out, I would really love your input. Thanks : )

i love my bare escentuals. my skin is dry and fair, i have never had a foundation match as good as this does, also it doesn’t crack or crease. i would recommend looking for a kit that comes with the dvd. you can get it a sephora or bareminerals.com. some of the people that complain about it are using too much, you really have to restrain yourself. the dvd will show you the right amount, it will surprise you how little you have to use.

yeah i use the product and like it very much. I also use clinique that can sometimes feel a little over done on my face, so when i want to feel light with no makeup feel i wear bare essentuals.
When I wear it i get a lot fo compliments like, wow are you a makueup artist, or did you get your makuup professionally done??? I really like the way it makes me look and feel. Try it out, it is fairly inexpensive and lasts a long time

I’ve used it and I HATED it. It didnt cover everything, and it didnt stay on. I have much better stuff thats wayyy cheaper and actually comes with a brush. It covers flawlessly, sometimes I dont even need concealer. It’s called Bare Naturale by L’oreal and you can see it at walgreens.com/store/pickcolor.jsp?CATID=…

yes. i love it. it covers every blemish and wrinkle. you have to put it on just like they show you. you can go to sephora and they’ll put it on for you before you but it.

it’s okay… it’s a little tricky to put on, i think. it’s all powders, so it makes a mess and i always seem to put it on too thick. i guess i just need to play with it a little more. when i bought it i thought it was going to be this awsome makeup, but it’s kind of just like any other makeup.
i would try it, though, if i where you…

I have and I did not care for it. It itched my face and I found out a lot of people had the same problem. As a result of further investigation, I found out that unlike what the company advertises, the minerals are not pure because they contain Bismuth that causes itching and irritation. I have also used other mineral powders, such as Jane Iredale, Glo Minerals, Everyday Minerals, Sheer Cover, Philosophy, Physician Formula, Loreal and many more. I think the best and purest ones are Everyday Minerals at everydayminerals.com. The company sends samples for free.

Yes, I have been using it for 3 years now and I love it! I would highly recomend it, now I get compliments on my skin all the time. It covers everyting really well and feels really light. Just follow the directions and make sure that you don’t use too much.

I had seen the infomercial numerous times and decided to try it out. I bought it at a store like Sephora. They sell a beginner kit for about $40 and i loved the results that i got from it. I have freckles and some redness and it really evened out my skin tone. Also it is VERY easy to apply and also time saving. The best part is that the foundation has SPF 25 in it to protect your face.
Remember just swirl, tap and brush! LoL

It is the best makeup ever!!!!! It actually works like it does on the infomercial. No Joke! You can get it at ulta not just through the tv programs Go for it you will be beautiful

Bare Escentuals and Bare Minerals are the same thing. It’s a great make-up. If you can’t order on-line, Revlon makes their own version now, haven’t tried it though.

I hear BARE MINERALS was a lot better, though. bare minerals had more sheen. Sephora.com is my weakness. mmmmmmmmmmmmm Damn it! Now i gotta spend $$ today on there.

I love Bare Minerals. It doesn’t clog your pores, you control the coverage and it has a SPF15.
Since you’re thinking about it, stop in to Sephora or if you’re near a Bare Escentuals boutique there as well and try it. I know both carry the starter kit which runs $60-$75. It has 2 foundation shades, warmth, mineral veil, 3 brushes and an instructional DVD.
For me it works really well, it covers the broken capillaries and dark circles under my eyes. I also have oily skin. I love the fact that I can wear it year round and I don’t have issues with it melting off my face or clogging my pores.
Remember that less is more with the foundation and buff it into your skin well.
Give it a try, I know Sephora has a good return policy so you have nothing to lose.
    Good luck and have fun!!

i love this brand, it doesn’t clog my pores!!

  15. YES I have been using it for about 2yrs now. My 11 yr old daughter also starting using it. It is pure and natural minerals so it does not clog pores. It is better for your skin than other make up. rememeber you get what you pay for. it is a little pricey, but well worth it. i say give it a try.

I have a friend that uses it and she says it is great. The only reason I haven’t tried it myself is because I can’t afford it, but defiantly try it.
